It's only words
I got a lovely reminder of the power and strength of words alone from the excellent blog posted by Justine (you can read this by accessing her page through her link on my side bar) recently. She actually posted a few mind teasing quotes which were utterly paradoxical at times and usually funny.
Although I have not the ability to repeat this feat, I do now include some quotes that I feel possesses the power to inspire us through the worst of times. In times of your worst darkness, may this be the words that light up your path:
“We are never so defenceless against suffering when we love, never so unhelplessly unhappy as when we have lost our loved object or its love.” -Sigmund Freud-
“Pride can also come after a fall- it makes the fall’s message less life challenging.” -Diogenes Small-
“Lovers and madmen have such seething brains, such shaping fantasies, that apprehend more than cool reason ever comprehends.” –William Shakespeare-
“We need types of leisure which allow for contemplation and meditation. To this end people need the courage to be lonely.” –Victor Frankl-
“In the factory we make cosmetics, in the store we sell hope.” –Charles Revson-
“If you hate a person, you hate something in him that is part of yourself. What isn’t part of ourselves doesn’t disturb us.” –Hermann Hesse-
“No one told me that grief felt so like fear. I’m not afraid, but the sensation is like being afraid. The same fluttering in the stomach, the same restlessness, the yawning. I keep on swallowing.” –C.S. Lewis-
“I believe that everyone can conquer fear by doing the things he fears to do, provided he keeps doing them until he gets a record of successful experiences behind him.” –Eleanor Roosevelt-
“If you never reach for the stars, you’ll never know if you could’ve reached it!” –Innerflame7-

but we can love, and find the joy of love, and be loved, if only we seek the right source of love.
otherwise love is rather unreliable.
it's amazing how words can spark ideas
"Before you go looking for happiness, make your own right where you are." That's my fav.
