My attachment stint
Lucky Days (meaning no trial):
7 a.m.: Wake up, take a quick wash up and get prepared to leave for work.
7.30 a.m.: Leave the house to depart for work.
7.30 a.m. - 8.45 a.m.: Get stuck in a traffic jam either along the LDP or SPRINT highway.
9 a.m.: Arrive at the office. Put my bag at my table and rush down for a breakfast.
9 a.m. - 9.25 a.m.: Breakfast at the very costly mamak shops around Phileo Damansara 1
9.25a.m. – 1 p.m.: Work consists of reading files, proof reading, case research etc. Alternatively allowed to read the law journals when there are no work to do.
1 p.m. – 2 p.m.: Lunch.
2 p.m. – 6p.m.: Continue with work.
6 p.m. – 7.30 p.m.: Do some over time to avoid the jams.
7.30 p.m. – 8.15 p.m.: Leave for home.
8.15 p.m. – 9.15 p.m.: Dinner.
9.15 p.m. – 9.45 p.m.: Take my bath.
9.45 p.m. – 10.30 p.m.: Review the day' s work to check for any thing that I had forgotten to complete.
10.30. p.m. – 1 a.m.: Rolling around the bed feeling troubled. Getting crazy with my bouts of insomnia.
1 a.m. onwards: ‘Sleeping’.
Normal Days (meaning days with trials).
6.15 a.m. – 6.45 a.m.: Wake up, take a quick wash up and get prepared to leave for work.
6.45 a.m. – 7.20 a.m.: Depart for one of the lawyer’s houses.
7.20 a.m. – 7.45 a.m.: Wait for the lawyer to get ready.
8.00 a.m.: Leave for court.
8.30 a.m.: Arrive at court.
8.30 a.m.- 9 a.m.: Breakfast.
9a.m. onwards: Depends on the case involved. But usually will be in court till late evening. Everything else should be the same with the said schedule.
Author’s note: I’m providing this schedule as a rough indication only and is by no means is this scheduling the same everyday. I hope those who aspire to be a lawyer understands that it’s not exactly a stroll in the park to be one.
