What a GAME!

IF a European Cup Final needs any benchmark, then today was certainly it. Arsenal v Barcelona was the dreams of all football fans.

The score : ARSENAL V BARCELONA (1-2)

For all Arsenal Fans: I thought the referee was simply atrocious. He did seem terribly bias and I'm not sure if he was the one who was pictured in a Barca T-Shirt! His handling of the game was just shambolic and he ruined a perfect spectacle by reducing the Gunners to 10 men. He should have just allowed the goal!

(Thierry Henry himself has just been quoted of saying the same thing about the referee! Well, you heard it first here at my blog ;) ) See clip below.

I think there are no reason why you should feel ashamed as Arsenal FC played their hearts out and if they were more clinical in front of goal who and could have won the game. Unfortunately, football is cruel. Well, let's hope Thierry stays!

For all Barca fans: I thought Eboue, although a wonderful player, did a theatrical dive to earn the free kick which led to the goal. Unfortunately, I have to seriously feel that Marquez and Van Bommel were totally ludicrious with their on field theatrics.

Your team though were absolutely phenomenal in stamina. I have never seen a team attack so relentlessly before. Arsenal's defence was magnificent, although Almunia was totally at fault at both goals. The first goal was a near post shot while the 2nd went through his legs for heaven's sakes! But, I think Ronaldinho was a spectacle and if Henry does join Barca, then a period of dominance is seriously within the horizon.
