Some lose their hair, some lose their clothes, bravo!

I live in a country (fictional) called Malaichia. Today, when I read the Bintang newspaper, one of the nation’s top news providers, I was a proud Malaichian.

The Royal Malaichian Police (RMP) again stood its ground to stamp out crime! The fiasco regarding the Chinese women who had been subjected to alleged nude squats by the RMP had hardly died down, and yet, here they are courageously thrusting their bold faces into the media limelight once again!

The RMP are a bold lot who are not afraid of the attention they are getting. As a matter of fact, they crave such an attention and will demand that they get their due time in the spotlight! Who cares about Civil Liberties and Human Rights? I just went to my first class of such and thought it was bullshit!

Why do we need to learn civil liberties OR human rights when in truth all we have to do is flex our muscles (if our muscles are backed by the power that be) to get what we want? The RMP is a clear example of illustrating my point.

Why can’t the RMP subject these law breaking Chinese women to such ‘degrading treatment’? Even if it is degrading, they certainly deserve it for breaking the law, don’t they? Why care about human rights when they are foreign citizens. Heck, the RMP can even forego human right even if they are Malaichians if they break the law. No one is above the law; well, perhaps except the RMP. But, that is different, because they are the RMP.

China is not really a superpower YET. It is merely a country which is rapidly growing to be one. So before it can bully us into submission when it achieves its full strength, the RMP is trying to head note that we are not a nation to be meddled with. Who cares whether the diplomatic relations between our countries are strained? It is even better if these Chinese people stop visiting our shores anyway. It is not as though tourism is our major source of income. We can survive without it.

On the issue where the senior citizens were shaven bald, the RMP Assistant Commisioner for Keyjang said that it was within their power to shave these fellas bald because they had broken the law when they played mahjong during the Chinese New Year. I agree with him wholeheartedly. There is NO need to apply any wise discretion. If they break the law, just do what you want with them. Since they are old and weak, they are probably defenceless anyway. So the RMP did the right thing. Shave their heads off and punish them for playing mahjong. Why can’t they just play chess or scrabble for Chinese New Year. Surely, next year, these fellas will be getting a monopoly set instead!

Anyway, I have ranted way too much.

Once again, bravo to the RMP and may they keep up their good work.
To all law breaking people in Malaichia, you better run and hide because the RMP is on your trail!

You could lose your clothes or your hair, or BETTER still, both.

The Bintang paper says those newly created Ronaldos are going to sue for a million bucks. If they win, and I hope they do, I'll be going to Keyjang to play mahjong next CNY.

1.ah ee, as a future reporter...u should not be taking sides.

2.tis is wat people call a satire, perhaps, a poor attempt at 1 judging by ur reaction.LOL.

3.the fact that they do not want to sue just reinforces my point that it is so hard to enfore these rights anywhere within our jurisdiction with any reasonable measure of success.
